Overview
This policy describes how XML Lens handles information when you use the macOS app or contact support. XML Lens does not require an account and is not supported by advertising.
02
Your documents stay local
XML files and pasted XML are processed on your Mac. We do not transmit or store document contents, filenames, file paths, XPath expressions, search terms, selected nodes, or exported reports.
Files are accessed only through macOS permissions and the locations you select. XML Lens does not scan unrelated folders or upload documents to an online formatter.
03
No product analytics
XML Lens does not collect product analytics, installation identifiers, session identifiers, feature events, app version, locale, file-size ranges, or usage history from the app.
The app does not upload XML content, exact file size, filenames, paths, XPath text, search text, payment credentials, StoreKit transaction details, or exported reports.
04
Purchases
Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the Mac App Store. We do not receive your card number or payment credentials. The app verifies entitlement status with Apple and stores a local cached unlock state so Pro remains available offline.
XML Lens does not collect purchase analytics. Purchase and restore actions are handled by Apple through StoreKit.
06
Retention and your choices
Because XML Lens does not collect app analytics or require an account, there is no app analytics profile to retain or delete.
Support emails are retained as needed to answer your request and maintain relevant support history. You may ask a privacy question or request deletion of information you have provided by contacting us.
